Rev. Shelton Pete Cribb, 76, of the Sidney Community of Whiteville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Wilmington.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Myrtle Green Cemetery in Tabor City, with Pastor Buddy Seay and Pastor Jamie Ward officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at Worthington Funeral Home.
Pete was the son of the late Dow W. Cribb and Vernie Duncan Cribb and was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Cribb; siblings, Oliver Martin Cribb, J.T. Cribb, Verbee Cribb Cartrette, Sammie Mitchell Cribb.
Pete was a faithful servant of the Lord. He served as a minister with the Original Free Will Baptist Pee Dee Conference.
Pete leaves behind his wife, Shirley Ann Norris Cribb of the home; children, Timmy Cribb (Amy), David Ray Cribb, Phillip Isaac Cribb, all of Whiteville; siblings, Monnie Mae Cribb Turbeville of Sidney, Rosie Lee Cribb Walton of Lexington, Billy J. Cribb (Rachel) of Lexington, Bobby K. Cribb (Betty) of Sidney, Geneva Cribb Ward of Sidney, William Elgin Cribb (Brenda) of Ash, Benjamin Perry Cribb (Jewell) of Tabor City, and Jerry Cribb (Shirley) of Sidney.
