Herman Ivan Price

Ivan Price, 58, passed away in a tragic car accident on Saturday February 21, 2026.

Ivan began his lifelong career in car dealing at just 15 years old. What started as a young man's interest quickly became his passion and life's work. Over the years, he built not only a career but a reputation. He took great pride in serving his customers and community, earning trust through honesty, hard work, and his natural ability to connect with people. Car dealing wasn't just what he did, it was who he was.

He had a sharp eye for value and a natural talent for finding hidden treasures, whether on a car lot or at an auction. Outside of work, Ivan loved collecting antique signs, going "picking," and spending weekends at auctions. His greatest joy in life, however, was being a Pa and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those who knew him will remember his knowledge, his humor, his handshake deals, and the excitement in his voice when he talked about his latest find or a good trade.

Ivan was a devoted husband of 25 years to Tammy R. Price.

In addition to his wife, Ivan is survived by his children: Michael Price (Amber), Zachary Price (Kaitlyn), Ivana Price (Jerry), Tony Smith (Sarah), and Amy Stocks (Neil); his grandchildren: Abel Stocks, Holden Stocks, Callan Stocks, Emory Brynn Stocks, Mia Soles, Abigail Thomas, Easton Price, Brayden Price, and Madalyn Price; his siblings: Marty Price (Renee) and Bonita Pridgen (Randy); and many cherished nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Price and Nezzie Bowen; and his life-long best friend, Michael Coleman.

Ivan's passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
