Peggy Mae Strickland Dippel, age 74, of Whiteville went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Lifecare Center in Whiteville.
Visitation will be held between 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Worthington Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 11:30 a.m. at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Buddy Seay officiating.
She was the widow of Lyle Duane Dippel and the daughter of the late Susie Boswell and Dennis Strickland. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Cecil Strickland, Larry Strickland and Dennis Mitchell Strickland.
She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also was a devoted Christian who led many people to accepting the Lord as their personal savior. Peggy was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed going into her favorite restaurants and provided gifts to those in need. Her family will always remember her for being a great mother and for the good deeds that she did for all.
Peggy Dippel leaves to cherish in her memory, children, Deanna D. Little and her husband, Johnny M. Little of Western Prong, Kenneth Dippel of Loris, SC, Michael Dippel of Whiteville, Kimberly Fowler of Loris, SC; and Tammy Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC; three siblings, Bonnie Strickland Worley, Linda Strickland and Billy Strickland all of Cerro Gordo; eight grandchildren, Tyler Dippel, Kelby Dippel, Emma Leah Dippel, Brandon Dippel, Kristen Little, Kayla Little, Christian Fowler and Payton Fowler; two great-grandchildren, Parker Dippel and Ethan Holtsclaw.

I have so many memories of Aunt Peggy...A true Christian...One who as a child I remember her leading people to the Lord on the streets in whiteville...She always wanted everybody to follow Jesus...Fly high aunt Peggy...I Will see you again Oneday,..Gone to your heavenly home, but here on earth you will not be forgotten..
